FYI - theres'a big news story (AP) out of Toronto today about an international crackdown on child porn. Apparently, thanks to the internet, they have been able to trace thousands of people.

    Yippee!

Well the internet is a two edged sword, so thanks to the internet child porn is now available to a much wider audience. Previously Child porn would have been held in tightly knitted groups, because of the risk of detection, the internet gives the user a degree of anonymity whether real or imagined however this is becoming increasingly imagined as police are able to retrieve credit card details from these web pages. But bear in mind that the internet has been around for approximately 10 - 7 years, these pervets have had unlimited access to child porn, until recently and are often more technologically advanced than authorities, due to funding restrictions.

So yes the internet has been a source of detecting child porn, but it has also been a method in its distribution.

    Cheers Curious Mind

Wouldn't it be priceless if they tracked down some of these people and they happened to be at Bethel?

And it wouldn't be a surprise either, would it? If they tracked things down to Bethel or other very 'righteous' JWs.

Anyone able to link to the story?

Sorry. I would if I could....

I know the best way to put an end to this is the death penalty for the cretans who support the abuse of prepubesent children . Another travisty is the fact that the government is always looking for an excuse to invade the privacy of tax paying citizens because of smut peddlers like that .
