Don't get the wrong idea, y'all. This is just me. Your old pal Bendrr likes to spend the new year's eve in quiet solitude. My family understands that and they know I'm not blowing them off.
Right now the TV is quietly playing the SciFi Channel's Twilight Zone marathon. There's a cold 12-pack of Miller Lites in the fridge, a few Lortabs to mellow the mood, and a Valium to summon the gentle sandman's pleasant dreams of a hopeful new year.
In the midst of that, my coffee table is covered with an item of my re-discovered hobby. My earlier post of a picture of a model car is that new hobby. No, not Rebel flags. Model cars. I just finished that one. The Dukes of Hazzard General Lee. Every part trimmed and painted. The body was primered, painted with 3 coats of the closest Orange I could find to the original General's orange, decals applied, then two coats of hi-gloss clear-coat.
Right now I'm taking a break from the Dodge Viper I've been working on. The others I have yet to do are a Bugatti EB-110, Lamborghini Koenig Countach, and a Lamborghini Diablo.
And yes, I also have (suprise suprise) a model kit of The A-Team Van.
By the time I finish this Viper, I'll be needing stronger glasses.
Happy New Year!
Mike.
