    Megatron:

Another aspect of this is the effect that these abundant df'ings is having on the Watchtower
    hierarchy.

Some of them, along with the rank and file, are now looking at df'ing as a mere procedure
needed to get a divorce, in particular. I knew a Circuit Overseer who thought this was
a great way to bring more people in the 'truth' - by df'ing someone who then brings
in their 'worldly' mate as repentance. This should give you an idea how warped the organization
    has become.

I know of 3 JW's who have been DF'd for dating (then marrying) a 'worldly' person (see my last post for one example) and then being reinstated later on with the 'worldly' person becoming a JW.......and thats just in 3 small congos...

Is this the next big thing in JW land??? Is this a tamer version of 'flirty fishing' as was done by the Children Of God years ago???

I know of several JW's who have used df'ing as a way of getting out of a marriage and then marrying the person they were having the affair with only to go back to the troof with the new wife\husband in tow. What got me was the way they acted like their sh*t didn't stink after they were reinstated. I recall one in particular giving it the 'high and mighty' tone over the phone when I said something about how cliquey my cong was. What a tosser! :)

I don't think you can be DF'd for just "dating" a non-JW. I think the elder body has to have some indication that porneia/fornication/adultery took place whether by confession or 2 witnesses observing that the 2 stayed overnight together alone.

I know of 2 occasions where they wanted to DF the individual but had no such proof. They can "mark" the person by giving a talk at the service meeting discussing the evilness of dating a non-JW without naming names from the platform (of course off the platform is different).

    Hi blondie,

I think they are talking about someone being married, they plan to screw their new lover, get disfellowshipped, divorced, then get re-instated and have the new lover as their mate ..and.......the new lover becomes a dub too!

The new lover......"helps their mate get...' back in' ...with the people they desire to have back......so they will be happy again".

Oh, that's a different story. They are being DF'd then for adultery/fornication not just dating that person and making a plan of it. Sort of like the account in Malachi where the Israelite men were divorcing their first wives to marry younger ones.

I've heard of situations where the brother has sex with a non-JW woman and gets DF'd, gets swiftly reinstated and marries the sister he was really having an affair with. No point in having 2 DF'ings when one will do.
