Reason. UK bethel move scrapped

    Before you ask , I am not that Peter Ellis.

    The official line is
    The land at Bittacy Hill and the Ridgeway is valued at 69 million
    The estimate at moving to Milton Keynes was 250 million
    Kingdom Halls in Africa can be built for about 10p (our District Overseer Joke) no really about 4,000.

    The question are the society really that kind? or is there a real reason behind the cancellation.

    The original plan was to move to Southampton to to be nearer to the shipping route, Milton Keynes is new to me.

    The move to Southampton was scrapped because of more pressing priorities, so they said. This was about the time when bethel at London was lumbered with printing all the French magazines so they could dodge the taxation.

    The official reason for scrapping the move to MK was the imminence of Armageddon, as the events of 9-11 unfolded.
