The concept that JWs avoid the traditions, teachings, celebrations, viewpoints, outlook, and on and on and on because it has a "pagan" origin, or because it's associated with Christendom can be carried to absolutely hilarious ends with not-so-hillarious results.
I mean, Christendom breathes, eats, worries about thier children's saftey, which they apparently do a much better job at than JWs.
And wouldn't JWs have a helluva time of it if they refused to use the name of the weeks and months because of their origin in Roman, Greek, and Norse mythology?
So what it boils down to is that the JWs avoid just as much of the observations and conduct of Christendom as is convenient for them. If it's not convenient to avoid, they just ignore its existence. Now that's dedication isn't it? Devotion? Unswerving determination to do the will of God even if it means your helpless little kids who depend on you for their very lives, young as they are will have to die because of the JWs absurd blood "policy."
You know it occurs to me that the more that the searching luminosity of divine Truth is played upon the organization and governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses, the less there is to see. Just an empty shell with no substance, and a group of aging leaders, isolated from the realities of everyday life as it is lived and practiced by those unfortunates who have become entangled in its malicious web. And this is the very reason the WT doesn't want its membership educated. Education is a clear and present danger for the WTBTS and GB. Educated people can see straight through the poop to its source, and it ain't pretty.
