I wanted to think out loud and ask for input into the male / female aspects of being.
I've been a bit mixed up on gender - recently in a post to J. Alward I wrote that biblically speaking spirit was male - sorry about that JA - I shouldn't be so sure . The Holy Spirit is the Helper , and the Comforter, so does the Holy spirit have gender? " there was not found a helper fit for him" or are spirits male and female?
The spirits may act like male " their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural"
I had been thinking that the spirit was judge, but that didn't feel an appropriate thing - actually the spiritual 'man' judges - i.e. male and female - balanced.
Jesus was the groom (not yet husband) and the Word. S o then who's the husband for us - or will be? What is the 'word' accepted by our spirit. " let them ask their husbands at home"
What husband (word) do we accept when we have repented, but perhaps not of all? "if her husband dies she is discharged from the law concerning the husband" Will we marry another who dies, and then another? John, who came before Christ preached repentance - and the groom was waiting.
And so to "Eve" - the helper who listened to the flesh and convinced her husband (her word) to do the same - and so together they become dead - as the Lord said would happen - and so -
in pain you shall bring forth children (works),
yet your desire shall be for your husband (your word),
and he shall rule over you
"the unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord" - the word that is not taken up by a spirit wants to be more acceptable - " but the married man is anxious about worldly affairs" - how to make what he has said fit into the world, and thereby please his spirit - his wife.
Some are "free spirits", like the Samaritan woman - " you are right to say you have no husband " but live with a man - a 'word' that suffices as an arrangement - for getting by and doing "Samaritan work".
Saint Satan - You were asking how I thought the inpired word was in Paul's letters - I think that sort of explains my thought on 'inspired text'.
Anyone have any male / female theology? My head's freakin.
