I saw a video last night and part of it reminded me of childhood stories that had been relayed to me from people who had been raised as JW's, so I thought some here might find it interesting.
The video is called "The Queens of Comedy" and the 2nd comic on the show is Adelle Givens. She does a bit in her act about what it was like growing up with a grandmother that was convinced that the world was in it's "last days" and how that affected her as a young girl. She is just laugh out loud funny, and that bit made me giggle a little more since I've heard some of the same comments before from people raised in the JW cult. The entire video is funny, but that part really caught my attention. One word of warning, the language used by the comics in the show is extremely vulgar, and that's putting it mildly! If you're bothered by cursing then this video WILL offend you, so be aware of that before viewing.
