    After watching a recent "Christian and Katja" video on Youtube,('why you should question the authority of the WT' check them out if you can!) it reminded me of this thread....

    Once again bumping this topic, inspired by a civilised conversation a few days back with a witness.

    After I shared an observation that the society had many, many strange and "wacky" teachings in the early days, he said: "It doesn't matter about all of that, as long as the truth is correct now"

    It amazed me that the double standard could exist so freely in his mind....

    "Truth" should be "truth" at all times right? Or does the Almighty make mistakes??

    All academic, really.

    The actual reason the Org forbid birthdays and holidays was to further limit social contact between JWs and their "worldy" relatives and acquaintances.
