Ever type up a long post with lots of great insight and then when you hit submit it tells you your password is wrong? True, it lets you cut and paste everything but then I can never get all the formatting right when I paste it back in.
Its great that your password is starred out so people can't see over your shoulder but it would be nice to see what you put in to make sure you got it right when you're at home and don't have to worry about that so much. Go to http://www.snadboy.com and download Revelation 2.0. When you get it installed you drag an X over a starred out password and it will tell you what is typed in there. Pretty cool!
Somewhere around this site, there's a place where you can check a box, so your password is entered automatically when you post.... Now.... where ?
Only works if you keep cookies turned on with your computer. If you're one of those paranoid people (self included) who doesn't like countless marketing companies to be able to track you then you turn the cookies off on your computer thereby making that little "remember my password" box useless.
BTW, if someone should really want to, various sites can read cookies from other sites. What does that mean? Store your password in your cookie that this site puts on your machine, go to a site that's not very friendly, they can steal your cookies. In a nutshell, they can read and record your username and password and then do what they like with it. Just something to think about and don't even get me started on Microsoft's Passport service and how insecure that is!!!
