Venice was supposed to arrive here in Seattle, tonight at 11PM, but she called late this afternoon, still in Florida at a hotel. She got in a traffic jam on the way to the airport and missed the flight. So she is arriving tomorrow morning. Now I don't have to stay up half the night...........
This is proof that you lose Jehovah's blessing once you leave the truth. Everything goes wrong!
Well, except that she found a hotel, and the phone worked to call you. I guess some things went right.
Now that she's got some time to burn, I'm sure she'll enjoy reading the wonderful new (mind-numbing) release "Draw Close to Jehovah". Ah yes, you guys will have so much to talk about, now that the conventions have been held!
(They didn't charge for parking this year in Tacoma did they??)
Sorry I'm rambling I just didn't know how else to respond. Have a fun time you guys.
I guess there are times when we overlook that travel is really a BIG thing, full of stresses and risks, despite the modern methods and modes of transport.
Ven will be very stressed when she arrives, no doubt. Perhaps a Seattle mint will help! Mrs Ozzie and I find that one of those mints (or two!) helps to relieve the strain!
I heard that Ven took her new car back to the dealership and compained, "I don't understand it. Every time I lean forward, the horn blows. Something is terribly wrong and I want it fixed."
AND she didn't understand why everyone was laughing at her there in the repair shop.
