    Hello again,

Let's read this comment (published in 1983):

    *** uw 112 14 'I Make a Covenant With You for a Kingdom' ***

7 Does this mean that none are now being called by God for heavenly life?

Until the final sealing is done, it is possible that some few who have

that hope may prove unfaithful, and others will have to be chosen

to take their place. But it seems reasonable that this

    would be a rare occurrence."

    Now what happend since 1946???

The figures quoted are from the " yearbooks ":

    1946……………….5,263 anointed added

    1964………………. 661 " "

    1970……………… 158 " "

    1973……………….. 173 " "

    1974……………….. 200 " "

    1981……………….. 37 " "

    1985……………….. 20 " "

    1989 ………………. 49 " "

    1990………………….135 " "

    1993…………………. 10 " "

    1995…………………….28 remnant added

    1996……………………112 " "

    1997…………………… 38 " "

    (see also w 1.02.99 p.12 and w 15.03.91

    for anointed call and replacement).

In conclusion 6,884 replacement from 1946 is a rare occurrence ???

    That is a great post!

From your math, it appears that all of the remnant from the '60's all turned out to be bad seed. How peculiar. Your numbers would really confuse a Witness at the door. I am going to save this in case they show up some day. It has been years since the "plauge of locusts" have hit my door step. In the midwest we have 17 year locusts. Maybe they have modeled themselves after that particular type of locust, here in the neighborhood.

    the logical implications, mine,

yours and of those who know this

    and those who'll find out.!

    Hi MacHislopp:

I'm really enjoying your posts! Short, sharp, to the point, and using the WT's own writings.

One question on this one: your table says that 5,263 annointed were added in 1946. Does this mean that the number given in the yearbook for 1946 was 5,263 more than in 1945?

If so, are there any comments in the magazines of the period to explain this huge increase?

    Expatbrit.

    Hi Mac,

Interesting but I suggest the Borg is already well aware of this. Fascinating, nonetheless.

One cautionery remark: the figs in the Annual Report have never been claimed to be all inclusive i.e. there have always been statistics omitted for one reason or another. For example, countries that are under ban submit incomplete reports. So there will be fluctuations from year to year for that reason.

There is, however, something that "supports" your thought, and that is that the number of aged members of the remnant are not decreasing at the rate you would expect for aged members of the community.

Another thing that supports your thrust is that the new members of the GB are all apparently from the replacement "class' on the anointed. I say this because of their relatively young age. I wonder how they were individually treated in their congregations when they first started partaking of the emblems!

    Keep them coming, Mac!

    Hello everybody,

    thanks for you comments.

    Just few lines more:

to EXPATBRIT516 - Yes, in 1945 the yearbook

    quoted 22,324 of the "a.r."

    and in 1946 quoted 27,587 .-

to OZZIEPOST : you comment is very, very interesting,

I'll provide more on those lines

    another time.

    Agape to all, J.C.MacHislopp
