Just arrived in the Philly area, currently staying in Wilmington where I grew up. Brandywine Cong. was once home base. Now it's just de-base.

If there's a party around here, better invite me!

Good to know I've got some company here.

I was baptized at the Vet. Now it's being torn down. Coincidence ... or conspiracy?!

I was baptized in 1984...the one year it WASN'T held at the Vet.
I ended up getting baptized at Delaware Race Track.

I remember that year! No breeze & no halls to walk.

    Memories....

Midnight, not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory
    She is smiling alone
In the lamplight the withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan
Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
    I was beautiful then
I remember a time I knew what happiness was
    Let the memory live again
Every streetlamp seems to beat a fatalistic warning
Someone mutters in the streetlamp gutters
And soon it will be morning
Daylight, I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
    And I musn't give in
When the dawn comes tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin
    Burnt-out ends of smoky days
The stale, cold smell of morning
    The streetlamp dies
    Another night is over
    Another day is dawning
Touch me, it's so easy to leave me
    All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me you'll understand what happiness is
Look a new day has begun

Hey Grout, nice to meet ya. I was baptized at the Vet too. Went there for DC's my whole life..and to many baseball games there. Going to be sad to see it go. I already hate the new stadium..with a name like 'Lincoln Financial Field' how can you like it? Guess it'll just take some getting used to.

You just missed our BBQ a couple weeks ago but I'm sure we'll all get together again sometime this summer.
