During our Service Meeting tonight, we discussed an article titled "Balanced Oversight", in which Brosthers are encouraged to turn down theocratic privileges if it might detract from his family, and that responsibilities should be shared amongst the congregation. The emphasis was on building a family unit strong in the truth, and delegating privileges when need be, thus, IMHO, shifting responsibility from the elders and ministerial servants onto the entire congregation..

We got the usual biggin up of elders, they should be commended for what they do, and that due to the fact that they are volonteers, can't be held responsible for the odd error of judgement (or major cock-up?)

Could this be a shift by the Society to protect or even dilute its "clergy class", so as to limit liability?

Really! Well, then, since I'm just a volunteer driver and don't get paid for it, am I not responsible for the odd fender-bender?

"Can you believe there are still people suckering for this shit?"
