Their name [Jehovah’s Witnesses], GB arrangement, main activity—all are apostate in origin!

Here is the greatest irony of our time—an organization that LITERALLY yells at the apostates is actually THE personification of apostasy:

    1) If an organization takes the name “witnesses” of God, they must be (through their action) “declared righteous” and observers should testify: “It is the truth,” warns Isaiah 43:9 (which is the verse immediately preceding Isaiah 43:10 which JWs take as the basis of their name)

[An organization that made nearly 50 major changes in their teachings creates the impression that ‘God is not the same, but is constantly changing’ (contrast Isaiah 43:10; James 1:17), thus spreads, through their action, only UNTRUTH about God]

    2) God’s feeding (physical and spiritual) arrangement is mainly through fruit-bearing trees. (Genesis 1:29, 30; compare Romans 1:20) All trees are symbols of doing good for the sake of goodness—especially fruit-bearing trees produce nutritious fruits (not for them) for others, a quality that would, if practiced, make humans “like God” which is the height of spirituality. (Mathew 5:44-48) Hence using a human agency like GB is apostate in origin (apostasy means ‘standing away’ from truth)

    3) It’s not only that preaching is not needed (Mathew 5:14, 16; Romans 2:12-14) but it's also denounced (Mathew 7:22, 23). Yet their main activity is not only preaching, but also refusing to see own mistakes and the good of others, and harping on the mistakes of others. (Luke 6:39, 41)

Interestingly, Isaiah Chapter 43 itself is part of apostasy as it deals also with “burnt offerings and other sacrifices” (Isaiah 43:23) something God says “I did not speak with YOUR forefathers, nor did I command them ….. concerning the matters of whole burnt offering and sacrifice.” (Jeremiah 7:22)

To go along with your thread, lets not forget at Galations 1:6-8 its said that the good news is the messiah and preaching anything else you'll be cursed, jws preach a totally different good news.

Another worth mentioning is Jesus states at Matt 16 that his blood is the covenant and in Hebrews chapter 9 it says with out the blood of the covenant there is no forgiveness of sins. JWs are taught that they are not in the covenant.

I should mention one more, Jesus told Nicodemous who was not a desciple or an apostle just an intersted one, jesus told him three times you must be born again to see the kingdom of god. JWs believe only the 144k are born again thier leaders have told them that this does not apply to them.

One could say that If the bible was gods holy book, JWs would have a very hard time surviving the big A.

Jesus Said : " 19. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matt 5:19)

He is here referring to "The Mosaic Law (Torah) & The Prophetic Scriptures Matt 5:17. Read Naturally, it's clear that Jesus is stating the Importance of Upholding the Mosaic Law in Action and in Teaching.. Those that do not? They are to be called Least.

Interestingly, the first time the Proper Greek word for "Apostate" ( apostasian) is used in the NT is At Acts 21:21 " and they have been told about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or walk according to our customs."

Paul is accused of Apostasy, the accuser Falsely stated that Paul was Teaching that the Mosaic Law was no longer applicable. Paul proceeded to Prove that he was not teaching contrary to Moses and the Mosaic Law.

Wouldnt a Religion that Teaches Jews & Gentiles, that it is not necessary to walk according to the Customs of Moses also be Apostate, in the same manner as Paul was accused of being one?

Kalos, you're not the first to suggest this, and you definately won't be the last, either.
