    Hello All

I learned yesterday that The Finished Mystery (Studies in the Scriptures VII) by Charles Taze Russell and published posthumously in 1918 is now available on Amazon Kindle for 99 cents. This is the quality spiritual food that the Governing Body claims is the basis for Jesus appointing it as the faithful and discreet slave in 1919 according to Peter Gregerson in his talk on Youtube.

From what I understand there are some really fantastical claims and ideas in it. There is no way they are appointed by God if this is the basis for the appointment. Here is the link below. Peace to all.

Does this mean that WT gets a portion of that 99 cents?

    Lol!

At least we know that current JWs won't be reading that book. It is written in a language that is far above the intellectual level of the Society's current publications.

As far as the significance of 1919 goes...the only thing of importance that happened then was Rutherford took over the Society by nefarious means and booted out everybody he didn't like.

The book does has some crazy ideas in it - http://jwbookstore.bravehost.com/books/mystery.html

GrreatTeacher inquired, "Does this mean that WT gets a portion of that 99 cents?"

It is not without good reason that many honest-hearted lovers of Peace and Goodness ask such a question. If the WTB&TS is the "author" of this Kindle edition of The Finished Mystery, then the answer to your question is "Yes!" But is it really likely that the WTB&TS would do this? No, because The Finished Mystery lays bare the lies, trickery, deception, speculation, and fanatical expectation of early 20th century end-of-time religionists.

The book was first published in 1919. Under US Copyright law that was in effect at that time, the book is now IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. In other words, the book is no longer the property of The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, and they cannot prevent other people - YOU for example - from re-publishing the book, thus enlightening a new generation of truth-seekers to the misology that is The Watchtower. By setting the price at 99 cents, the person behind this project demonstrates their whole-hearted desire to be of service to the community of Man.

The worst enemies of the Watchtower are the CRAP they have put into print and the inexorable passage of relentless, mute, uncaring TIME. History demonstates that 100% of the predictions, speculations and anticipations of The Watchtower have FAILED to come to pass. A reading of Watchtower CRAP shows what superstitious bigots and liars the writers of The Watchtower were. That tradition continues unabated to this day.

If, deep within your bones, GrreatTeacher (I'm assuming SPELLING is not what you teach) there is a speck of envy over the thousands, millions, and yes, BILLIONS of dollars to be made by writing about The Watchtower or re-publishing the public-domain CRAP from The Watchtower, you can either ask those here who have experienced un-dreamed-of prosperity and financial boon about their experience or you can give it a go yourself, striking out for the fields of diamonds that lie so close to home.

May Mighty All-Father Odin grant you worthy foes!

So, which edition of The Finished Mystery is it that has been published on kindle?

The original before it was censored for sedition?

Or the one that had the offending 'treason' comments taken out?

Or the one that was 'revised' in 1926?
