This in no way condones or encourages people to use or mis-use pills. It is an observation of how society treats illnesses, and those who have to take prescription meds, will see the humor in it.

    The Pill Song

By salem reid…..(written in a moment of utter silliness several years ago)

Thank god for pills.. she sings.. as she’s reaching for the things
They seem to cure all ails for awhile
They loosen up all of the knots; give brief vacations from our thoughts
They make ya sleep when your eyes are open wide

Thank god for pills.. she sings.. as she’s swallowing the things
They come in all sizes, flavors and colors too..
They offer comfort when there’s none; they aid in repression
Without them, whatever would I do?

    Altogether now!!

Thank god for pills.. we sing.. as we’re reaching for the things
Isn’t the god of science grand?
And isn’t it prophetic, that when you have a headache,
The pill’s side affects include pain within your head!!

Oh we hail to the pill
    Every single ill……
Imagined or real! Seen or concealed!
Will the god of science please take the staaannnnnddddddd……..

    So we all can sing,
    Thank you for these things…..
The pint sized solutions, to every size delusion…
Of every woman, child and maaaaaaannnnnnnn!

    HEY!!!

(yes I'm 'bent'.. and darn proud of it!) LOL g'day all

Well, Salem – all I can say is like Moses, you should keep on taking the tablets.
