This could be the epitome of disruptive technology. When 'Watson' pounded contestants on Jeopardy, I was stunned.

Reminds me of the old joke about scientists building a computer that knows everything. "What should we ask it?" "I know, is there a God?"

The computer replies: "there is now!" . You WTS apologists, take note. Genesis 11 says 'there is nothing at all they may have in mind to do that will be unattainable for them'.

Ray Kurzweil predicted the technological singularity will happen in our life time. He is thinking 2045 and is hoping to be alive by then (he is 66). He thinks this will give us immortality. He is obsessed with death. Personally I can't wait to see what crazy sex robot the Japanese build with this technology.

The Turing test is fascinating but alas it has no inner consciousness of its own. Kind of means there is no test for inner consciousness along the lines of such a test.

What's the potential here? Nearly complete unemployment, I wonder.

I hate the idea of Socialism but see no alternative because of disruptive tech.
