Is there a specific scripture that says Jesus will rule for a thousand years??? In Rev chapter 20 the indication is that the bride will also be reserected and rule (reign) with Christ for a thousand years. The GB states that these ones are starting to be reserected in 1918, 4 years to late and yet by 1935 there was still about half of these ones still yet to die. I'm just wondering how a JW can wiggle thier way out of this clear contradiction?? It would seam as though they have painted themselves in to a corner for at first I was thinking that the thousand years doesnt start until after armegedon but with what they have had to say about the bride being reserected in 1918 it looks bad for them. What can a JW do to get out of this???

Ok thanks for the scripture but again how would a JW get out of this delema, Jesus has been ruling for a 100 years but many of his bride have not infact in a wt it was claimed over 50K partook in 1935, and some are still here on earth today?

It always has amazed me...(even when a full-on believer), that some of these numbers in Revelation are supposed to be literal (1,000 years, 144,000, etc), and some are just symbolic!?? (like grains of sands of the beach, 12 tribes, etc)

The WTS teaches that the 1,000 reign starts with the abyssing of Satan and the demons atl the end of Armaggedon. The WTS teaches that Jesus is ruling (along with the anointed already in heaven since their resurrection in 1918 and instantly since then when they die) in the midst of his enemies. By the beginning of the 1,000 year reign all enemies will be gone or confined.
