In my local Parish church, we are celebrating Passover tonight along with another church. Should be really nice and very interesting too.
It is nice that different denominations can get on and accept each other's faith.

Have fun. My parents went to passover night last Tuesday the official day of Passover in synagogue. They had a meal and everone partook of the unleavened bread and passover wine. Even the kids, they get passover grape juice. I participated whilst growing up, it was fun. Kate xx

It was really interesting, Kate. The service was actually done by Messianic Jews.
I loved all the symbols of the food and the 4 cups.
Elijah didn't come though.

A Christian Passover offends most Jews. I've attended Jewish seders. If I don't get invited, I am hurt. I don't know whether Christian churches should do them. We had agape meals. Messianic Jews would be extremely offensive to other Jews. On the other hand, the more Christians realize Jewish customs and that Jesus was Jewish, bad feelings and actions might stop. I would lose most of my friends if I went to a Christian passover.
Things are tough to negotiate in this part of the country. In NY, Anglicans say "Shmya Israel" every Sunday. Some rabbi would read the OT lessons on Christmas and Easter. I always wanted to research his connections but I never could remember his name.

I'm sure there are many Jews that live and let live. Anybody who would cease being friends with me over something like that...I might as well be 'friends' with a JW. The one thing I find offensive is people who get offended.

Messianic Jews are problematic. Can it even be called a Jewish Seder if they are involved? The anger towards them is high. I don't think Jews are angry with Christians doing it. Are Messianic Jews even considered Jews? Other Jews help Christian churches celebrate a Passover meal. It is an objective fact.
