I apologize up front that I can't upload this 3 page essay, The Watchtower Apology That Never Happened, into JWN format. Footnotes, endnotes, et al. I'll have to resort to an image of the front page, then the above link to the entire PDF document. Enjoy, Len Miller

Thanks FF, makes agreat point and is well presented.

When I read your Thread Title I thought it was referring to the 1975 debacle.

They never actually apologised for that in print in aproper manner. The closest they got was reporting in a Yearbook that an "apology" had been given at the previous years D.C.

They are far too arrogant and proud to apologise, and have to use sneaky excuses saying in effect, we got this totally wrong, but it was good at the time ! what utter rubbish !

The Holy Spirit tells porkies and plays tricks does it ?

Yup. That was a fiasco as well. Also it's predecessor of 50 years, 1925. We read more into it than ...

Len, that is one of the true flipflops because it goes 180 and then 180 back to the original doctrine.

I think the only real apology that I have ever read came from the WWC. It was written in a very sincere way, no excuses given. You could feel the humility. Not so with the WTBTS. What can you expect from the "slave" that beats the master's children?

Thanks, I always enjoy your posts.

Thanks all -- and Blondie, thanks for that organ transplant tip. No telling how many lives were lost on that one. I wonder which of the governing body of that time was brought before a judicial comittee for that egregious act. I'd also like to look at the letters of apology from the governing body members to the families of those organ transplant victims and blood transfusion victims.

None? Okay, how about one single letter of apology. You get the point by now. Here's how that heirarchy really works.
