Disfellowshipping

While the disfellowsiping of the Pandelos is regretable it is not surprising. It is apparent what the WTBTS is doing and it should not discourage anyone if they disfellowship Barbra Anderson and Bill Bowen. It will come back to haunt them when the law suits proliferate. In fact, one of the side issues is these very tactics . By disfellowshipping those who speak out and by simultaneously mounting a publicity campaign of "denial" (J. R. Brown), the WTBTS arrogantly insults the thinking public. Their position has not begun to be publically scrutinized but they have made it clear where they stand. These disfellowshippings may be publicized nation wide and thereby become memorials of public shame for the WTBTS.

    Sidd,

The publicity in the American media is already overwhelming. It seems like God (if you choose to believe in God) is on the side of good this time. The timing, right in the wake of the Catholic pedophile news, is about as perfect as could be. This is getting maximum exposure through the AP and multiple newspapers. I wonder what the average newspaper reader thinks when coming across this news item.

The WTS comes across as cold-hearted towards the children and towards those who are bringing publicity to the cause. If the DF'ings that are happening also reach the media, whether through the newspaper or through the Dateline NBC program, their motives should become transparent. (Hey WTS, it's not too late -- turn back, act reasonably, institute the needed reforms voluntarily! Please!)

To late Gopher, there's no turning back now! The C.C. has paved the way. Judgement begins with the house of God.

The public's conditioning of pedophilia being kept silent by the churches is one thing, but to expell those who come forward and expose such practices is something that will not sit well with them. Why punish those who expose such practices? Ah, the org. has used the divisions/dissenters/detractors approach. The public will see through this.

Once the double standards are made public on an international scale including the U.N. debacle, the eternal fires will keep burning. This is the closest the org. will experience a hell fire.

The org. has had decades to correct their wrongs, but no, they have conveniently shove the blame on the RF. Just how long did they think they could covered up their wrongs without experiencing reprecussions? Have they ever apologize? Don't hold your breath for any confessions by the org. The RF is going to take the heat. They will use the RF as a shield.

The org. does not practice the mercy and love of the God, and they prove it by needless and unwarranted disfellowsipping cases.
