    TO ALL CONGREGATIONS

Re: Adjustments in organizational terminology and assembly arrangements

    Dear Brothers:

We wish to inform you that the Governing Body has decided to implement the following adjustments in organizational terminology. Effective immediately, zone overseers will be called “headquarters representatives.” The visit of a headquarters representative to a branch will be called a “branch visit” rather than a zone visit. Additionally, although the terms “international convention” and “special convention” will continue to be used, district conventions will now be called “regional conventions.”

Furthermore, beginning with the 2015 service year, circuit assemblies will be one day in length. Two such assemblies will be held each service year. The term “special assembly day” will no longer be used to denote a one-day circuit assembly. The district overseer will continue to serve one circuit assembly each year for each circuit or section of a circuit. A branch repre-sentative will normally serve the other circuit assembly.

Thank you for noting these adjustments. We send our warm Christian love.

    Your brothers,

    CCJW.

PS to coordinator of the body of elders:

Please arrange for this letter to be read to the congregation at the first Service Meeting af-ter its receipt. Thereafter, it should be posted on the information board. If the circuit overseer is visiting your congregation, he will read this letter at the conclusion of his first service talk of the week. At circuit assemblies and special assembly days, the letter will be read by the last speaker on the program at the conclusion of his talk.

It's always a good idea to have "NEW" and "IMPROVED" products.

    Back Calls vs. Return Visits

Presiding Overseer vs. Coordinator of the Body Of Elders

    Assembly vs. Convention

Congregation Book Study vs. Congregation Bible Study

YAWN! There sure isn't anything going to be "improved" by this.

BTW -- I guess the "rental" or "use fees" on Assm Halls will have to increase to make up for the lost day of rental.

Good time to bring that up after this past Sunday's WT Study -- give more, do more, more more more.

Great to see that the GB have been busy even though what they are doing is totally pointless.

Good point DOC. So, now is going to be:

    One Circuit Assembly (1 day)

    Another Circuit Assembly (1 day)*

    One Regional Convetion (3 day)

*This "another Circuit Assembly" is in reality the Special Day Assembly. They just can't show the fact that they cut a day from the Circuit Assembly so simply.

    From September 2015 , two One Dayers a ?

I wonder if they are planning to sell a few Assembly Halls at a huge profit, and make the poor R&F travel to one that still remains, probably many miles further away ?

That way the Assy Hall will be used for more days perhaps, rather than less ?

More cash for the WT, more expense for the R&F.

Wow, this is interesting stuff. It's SO much Orwellian, I just love it! #not

Now, besides the funny terminology parts, what do you think is the reason for assembly reduction of days? Purely economical? Or are they taking a step back in forcing coercion in members? Are they 'laxing the ropes'?

If the District Overseer no long has a "district" to oversee, why hasn't his title been changed to "Regional Overseer"?

My take on the reduction in days, is the reduction in attendance. So in order to keep the venue looking full, they "adjusted" it. Apperances.

    Bullshit is still bullshit.

The term “special assembly day” will no longer be used to denote a one-day circuit assembly

    .

Great ! WT finally acknowledged there's nothing "special" about a "Special Assembly Day", so there's no point in calling it that anymore. Jehovah's chariot certainly does keep moving forward in his "progressive" organization.

    .

it's reassuring to know Jehovah has nothing better to do than concentrate on minutiae by relabelling the same old crappy product into new, disposable wrappers, then declaring it the greatest thing since the invention of baloney.
