I'm new to the forum, but I wanted to get an idea of what type of music you listen to. If one thing has helped me over the past year to retain my sanity, it's music. Unfortunately, a lot of new music on the radio is trash. But what really keeps me happy is artists like Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, most rock from the 70s/80s, salsa, jazz, country, and a lot of international music. What's on your playlist?

I am a huge Beatles/Dylan/WHO fan. My father believed the Beatles were demonic. I guess I was supposed to worship him. He carried on about John all the time. He was violent so it was very important not to antagonize him. Once he carried on about John. I thought about my father's status in the world and John's acclaim. Somehow I could hear John commenting on my father, I burst out laughing. I used to get grossed out about the Beatles' favorites-along with most of the audience.

I am listening to classical and R & B now. Pete Seeger died this week so I am recalling good times.

Here another Beatles fan for nearly 40 years now, just love their music. My favourite Beatle is Paul McCartney and I also have a lot of his music. Besides the Beatles I'm really a huge fan of James Taylor, and I love J.J. Cale, Captain & Tennille, the Carpenters, Lily Allen, Pink Floyd, but also Big band music from the 40's/50's, blues, rock 'n' roll, but I'm also hugely fond of country and bluegrass music like Ricky Skaggs, Dan Seals, Garth Brooks, Dixie Chicks, and Southern rock of the Outlaws (have seen them live once, just months before co-founder Hughie Thomasson died...), Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Charlie Daniels Band. And a lot more! Oh and I love Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds... we (hubby, my son and me) have seen the live performance three times the last couple of years. Really wonderful, still after all those years since it was written.

Actually, I'm a music lover hahaha. From Austrian 'Jodel'music, to Bon Jovi, from Mozart to Robbie Williams, from the Beatles to Armin van Buuren, from the Prodigy to German Schlagers. I just don't like french chansons very much and I'm not too fond of house and/or trance music (like the electronic music from the 90's, which my husband reaaaaaaaly loves).

It just depends on my mood what I will listen to.
