Hidden Meanings of the Bible: It's All About the Mind

Back in Bible Times, the common literary style was in parables, metaphors, and allegories. The reason for this is that the spiritual truths they were trying to convey are too abstract and difficult to express in literal terms.

The Bible itself says that not a word Jesus spoke was literal:

Matthew 13:34 "All these things spoke Jesus to the multitude in parables; and he did not speak without a parable."

The Apostle Paul said that the literal words bring death, but the spirit of the letter gives life:

2 Corinthians 3:6 " He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life."

    What is a Jew?

Romans 2:29 (NLT) "No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God's Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people. "

Are the lessons in the Bible original, or are they much older? Are they obvious, or are they hidden?

Psalms 78:2 (NLT) " I will speak to you in a parable. I will teach you hidden lessons from our past— stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us."

What is wisdom? How is the Bible to be interpreted?

Proverbs 1:6 (NLT) "...by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles."

Paul said that the people who read Moses literally had a veil upon their hearts:

2 Corinthians 3:15, 16 "Yes, even today when they read Moses' writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." DEEP MEDITATION IS THE KEY TO UNDERSTANDING

THE TEMPLE IS IN YOUR HEAD!

Acts 7:48 "The Most High dwells not in temples made with hands."

Luke 17:21 "The Kingdom of God is within you."

According to Paul, the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar is an allegory. This explains how a 90-year old woman can have a child. What Paul writes explicitly says this allegory is among others by saying "which things". How much of the Hebrew Scriptures are about these covenants? This would imply that the entire Old Testament is an allegory.

Galatians 4:24 "These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar."

The Bible has much more to say about the left brain and right brain and the split in our consciousness.

The Bible has much more to say about the left brain and right brain and the split in our consciousness.

That's a great example of the folly of relying on modern-day scientific knowledge to anachronistically project them into ancient writings where they don't belong. To the contrary, the Bible actually reflects a complete ignorance of the brain, since it's like God dailed basic human anatomy. It explains why the word for the brain, the 3 Lb greyish organ that's located inside the skull is not found ANYWHERE in the entire Bible (unlike heart, which appears MANY times, or even the word 'mind', which is now understood to be an emergent property of the brain that leads to consciousness).

Study the history of science and medicine, and you'll quickly learn that ancient physicians before 500BC believed that the HEART was the center of cognition, and NOT the brain (as even a kindergartener knows today: we think with our brains). It's why the Bible often speaks of the 'evil thoughts found in the heart of men': that literally WAS their belief, and even Aristotle made the mistake of relying on common sense (and the other Greek physicians like Alcmaeon actually bothered to work with patients with head injuries to prove their hypothesis, which overturned the older existing belief which was based on ancient Egyptian thinking).

Search the archives for "heart Aristotle brain", as there's been many posts in the past written on the topic, including links to medical journals that discuss the evolving history of medical thought in ancient history. Here's one link to get you started:

And you do realize that lateralization of brain function is of questionable value, as it's often been exploited and over-simplified to make laypersons think they understand a complex topic AND to sell them "stuff"? Fact is, the interworking of BOTH hemispheres is undenaible, since very few tasks rely on a single side of the brain, only, but rests on interaction of the entire organ.

The whole LIE-ble is about communism and slavery. It is one big philo-Semite, homophobic, sexist, racist, anti-hedonistic mess that is designed to enslave people through fear, shame, and guilt. People are told therein that they are inherently scumbags. Freedom is abolished. Psychic power is sucked away from the masses through that thing called Jesus. That power is funneled into the mass human enslavement projects. People are instructed to do more than is expected, to not complain about being slaves, and to be poor. Enjoyment of life is banned.

Yes, philo-Semitism. Anyone else notice that Jacob, that lazy slob that kept defrauding the family, was praised by joke-hova while Esau, the hard-working man that did all the work, was bashed? And Tyrant David! That thing was highly praised as an example for all. Yet, that thing never met a Gentile it did not want dead. Jews, on the other hand--one could be a murderer, even attempt to take Tyrant David's life. As long as they are Jewish, they are one of joke-hova's people and Tyrant David was fine with that. But, if you are Gentile and not one of joke-hova's, you as much as live 5,000 kilometers outside the camp, and that thing wants you dead. Yet, the LIE-ble continually praises that scumbag monster! Right in plain sight, yet most people are indoctrinated to not see it. Blatant proof that the LIE-ble is an act of witchcraft against the masses.

And that document blasphemes Satan and His Demons. Going to Genesis 2 and 3, it is blatant that Satan is fighting for our freedom while joke-hova wants us all enslaved. Joke-hova had to use death threats, and threw a hissy fit against us humans for wanting Satan's offer of freedom. The Demons are also working for our liberty. What is so horribly wrong about a Demon for materializing for sex? Is it that joke-hova wants to restrict sex and enslave us all? Given that, I certainly wouldn't want joke-hova ruling me. Yet, too many fail to see that. Blatant witchcraft in that book.

According to Paul, the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar is an allegory.

What? That's ridiculous. Paul as a good Jew revered Abraham as an historical figurehead of his race.

In John 8:56-59 says, "'Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.' 57 The Jews therefore said to Him, 'You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?' 58 Jesus said to them, 'Truly truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.'
