Yes, that was the current understanding back then in 1985, when they published the Creation book, for 10 more years. Even the latest reprints still have that piece of 'old light.' But Witnesses know that the information had been since updated three times (1995, 2008, 2010) and they no longer make a case out of it.

How long did that "generation that would by no means pass away" in Jesus day turn out to be?

Did the apostles have to wait 140 years? "overlapping generations"?

I found the book when cleaning out a shelf. I was around for the original 80's understanding also. Seeing it in print just brought it back to me-seems more "real" than looking at a CD...

I am "active" and have been suprised by how little new jw's (converts from 2000 forward) and younger jw's know about this topic. So, I though a visual might come in handy, in case anyone needs to have a conversation about this topic.
