There are quite a few out there. In my experience installation jobs can be found in any city and the pay is usually fairly competitive.
Cable installation (these positions have been around for a while and with digital cable expanding there is a demand for this kind of work)
Dsl/Cable internet installation (home broadband is exploding right now, this job requires a little technical training but many companies will train their employees. It also pays better than just your typical cable installer)
Phone/voice services installation (if you can manage to get one of these jobs you can earn anywhere between 40-100k+. Every city is guaranteed to have a need for these type of services)
Fiber optic/broadband access installation (this is the job I wanted to take a few years ago, it takes a little bit of training but the pay is excellent. guys in this field have been known to make well over $100 an hour, many of the jobs require travelling so you're constantly on the move. its a great job for someone who wants to move around)
PC/Network analyst (every so often if you get with a recruiting agency they have jobs where they need someone to travel extensively, the pay is usually very good because of the traveling required and its a good opportunity to gain experience as an IT professional)
Hospital tehnicians (hospitals usually have a variety of positions avaialable at any given time and with a little training you can qualify for a fairly decent paying position)
hope this helps
