JW do this multiple times a day in their head. It's how you justify genicide in the OT. It's how you justify 7billion deaths at the big A. My dad told me three days ago that people are horrible. If they could get away with it my neighbors and random people would break in my house and murder me for my belongings. Twisted thinking.

Religions do this (not all). But to be fair... atheists can do this also. Or the military/armies/countries/patriotism, etc, any group that promotes an us vs. them (some governments and groups USE religion to speed their agenda up, but it is still people doing it) Ignorant people who are also atheists dehumanize say, muslims in the middle-east... agreeing or suggesting that we just "drop a bomb on those animals".
Dehumanizing an enemy is a human thing, ironic and sad as that sounds.

My dad was in WW2 and he had no time for military chaplains who would say "God bless you now go and kill the other bloke (guy)" while they stayed safe behind the lines.
