Why Is A Tiny Ant More Complex Than A Religious Persons God?

We never hear of people speaking in the name of ants. Never do people say this or that is what an ant wants, or this is what will make an ant like you, or hate you, etc. We just don't know how ants think. They are too complex. There is far more going on within a little ant than our tiny minds can comprehend.

However, when it comes to the Source of all creation ("God"), which must be infinity X infinity more complex, there is no end to people who speak in the name of "God".

Sometimes the world is just fucking upside down.

Faith in God can make a man move mountains.

But everyone knows even an ant can't move a rubber tree plant.

Why don't we hear about humans who claim to hear the voices of dolphins speaking to them in their heads?

For that matter, why do people want to locate alien lifeforms on other planets when we haven't even figured out how to communicate with animals (native lifeforms) on OUR own planet?

The history of man's exploration into new lands and territories isn't so stellar, eg Spanish conquest of Mayan/Aztec civilizations, the genocide of America's native cultures by Europeans, etc, all driven by theological motives and a sense of entitlement ('manifest destiny'), with God on their side.

I don't think we should be hankering to explore ANYWHERE, when we haven't yet conquered our own superstitions and fears; we haven't even catalogued all of what's crawling around in our back yard, and may not know what we're losing before it'll be gone.

Ants are so marvelous and complex that they HAD to be created by a superior intelligence.

But God? Pfft. He came from nothing, outa nowhere, no intelligent design required.

God doesn't even a chance to evolve slowly to ascend Mt Improbable, since God just always WAS like that.

As a fallacy, such arguments are "appeals to Paul Bunyan", i.e. if you're going to create a tall tale, make it a REAL DOOZIE, since some people will accept the completely outlandishly impossible over the merely improbable, since they reason, "Well that's SUCH a doozie that it HAS to be true, since who could make anything like that UP?"

in informatics, there's the common technique to generate complex software from simple software. it's called bootstrapping. god must be really really simple to be the source of all this.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I do know people who claim to hear voices of dolphins and whales (no, not ANT whales ) speaking to them, and guiding them, inside their heads! No kidding!
