If Jehovahs witnesses beleive that the great apostasy began after the death of the apostles ,then why do they quote christendom to support their interpretations ?

One notable example I can relate to is the name Jehovah .The name jehovah does not exist in any text, fragment or any manuscript in existence .

However the Watchtower says that name is the most popular in usage in christendom .? So despite what the facts say or the new light as to what Gods name was more likely to be (Yahweh ) they went along with christendoms tradition and stuck with jehovah . A name given by a catholic monk in the 13th century. Raymundus Martinus .

This is just one example of jehovahs witnesses appealing to christendom to support their veiws , christendom who they claim are apostates , isnt this hypocracy at its best ?

can you supply other examples of such hypocracy ?

The books of the bible they accept were chosen by christendom right? They reject apocryphal books, which were really just books the early apostates didn't choose.

You mention the books that were accepted by christendom at the time . Doesnt christendom ? have different books of the bible they beleive are not inspired ? Who determines what is inspired and what is not. certainly not God , it is human beings .Their are at least hundreds of scripts that are not part of the bible account

Who decided ths , certainly not God. , / Jesus , who has been silent these thousands of years.

What I love is how they point to the Scrolls of the Dead Sea to confirm scripture — while they never acknowledge that in that archeological find there were also apocryphal books!!!

Because as per Rev8:10-11 it is not a totally erred takeover, just a subversion of a portion of main truths.

Like Bethel and the GB as modern Rev8:10-11 "wormwood" injectors, they do not dessecrate all truth, just the foundations of all JW beliefs. (WT 7/15/13).

So quoting textual authorities and histories, like Hislop's "Two Babylons", is benign overall, just used to reinforce some point defective Bethel is making.
