IMHO

What is the point of a 'favoured few' being invited to Assembly Halls to hear a recording of the AGM on Sunday.

Why couldn't they just play the recording at the KH for all to hear.

Or are not the 'others' worth???

If you attend a special event that is ticket only you are more likely to drop something in the contribution box than if it was just another KH meeting.

Just another money making scam.

Here in the USA there was no ticket required. Everyone was invited

In the UK it's a ticket only show. To get an invite you need to be:-

elder/wife
ms/wife
pioneer
big donator

Lots of older ones are really upset they did not get an invite but youngsters of 18/19 are going because they are pioneers.

Does anyone know the exact criteria (if there was any) that determined whether in the UK, you were invited or not.

All I heard is that those who had been baptized over 30 years had their name submitted, so how come these spotty teenagers got invited?

Was it a case that if you were not listed in the categories St George of England kindly set out; your name was drawn out of a hat? Or did they go on how many hours you logged in the last service year? It certainly couldn't have been with the leading of the Holy Spirit otherwise why would some on here have been invited. Or maybe; if they were on here and invited it shows that jehovahs-witness.net is not so bad after all.

I'm rambling as it's late (in the UK) and I need to get to bed.

OK to clarify... Elder / wife, ms/wife, pioner (does that incude the dirty 30?), in the truth with good standing for 40+ years.

This is a super big deal to JW's to get their golden ticket. It's willie wonka massive. They are already full of reasons why they have got a golden ticket and full of reasons why they havent.

How does any commercial organisation create hype... exclusivity. A million+ dull AGM's happen every year but in JW world this like invitation to the oscars.
