On the weeks run up to conventions my wife has appaling moods we have door slamming, stomping and far less conversation than normal. It is tragically and for our handicapped daughter as well the same afterwards. It is like walking through mines the slightest and I mean slightest thing and boom!. When she is with the b & s its all happy happy.... pretend. The nearest I get is "I wish the world would end and I could be with the brothers and sisters".

    Love to you all.

Maybe the stress of the impending convention sets her off. I remember being cranky with my non jw parents for no reason due to convention time stress.

Funny, its usually me being cranky just before a convention, knowing I have to sit through all that drivel for days. Wifey is usually trying to calm me down so I don't make a scene squirming in my chair and making faces at whats being said.

Don't forget it's several days of her. Being reminded how hard done by she is and how you're gonna die in the big A.

Emotion dysregulation is a hallmark of immature adults who are babied by others through life. I'm not suggesting WW3 but you wife sounds like she needs an appropriate reinforcement schedule to help her behave like an adult and not a spoiled child. You will have a battle on your hands because she belongs to a religious organization that reinforces the kind of infantile obedience and compliance that makes her an ideal Witness. The childish displays at home are simply the other side of that mentality. She would not be the only Witness who stomps and sulks her way through life. Poor baby! Yet I have to now put the spolight on you, man: What is it about you that has you married to a woman who displays this level of emotional immaturity? How you can remain married to an infant beggars belief. What's in it for you? End of sermon - and apologies if my blunt observations and questions have caused any offense.
