An epic piece of guitar music in my opinion. I have seen Steve live 4 times and he is amazing. I remember he said he fasted 7 days then recorded this song in one take. I dont keep up with his music anymore , but this song meant alot to me at a dark time in my teenage years.
In 1993 my neighbor gave me the cassette this song is on( Passion and Warfare ) and it blew me away. I already liked playing the guitar, but I didnt realize so much was possible with the instrument. As cheesy as it may sound, this music got me through some tough times. It took me out of the hell that I was in.
Once the headphones were on, my horror disappeared. The dream was real, life could be better. Mostly, I would think about my girl.
20 years later, I dont have much, but the music still means alot to me, and more importantly I still have my girl.
