If preaching and reaching everyone was really the goal, why not shut down all bethels and kingdom halls, stop people from wasting time building those complexes and printing literature and just have everyone use just the bible and just meet in homes? They would have more time to preach and heck more money from bot supporting all these random projects so everyone could work less too.

You are 100% right. If someone tells me in the next three yrs that the end is so close they said we might not have a convention next year, I'm going to first puke and then explode. If it was so damn close they would be preaching and not give a crap about property and new building.
