I know what the current "Shepherd the Flock" book, published in 2010, says about the process of appointing elders. My question is, what was the written instructions before that? I skimmed through the old "Pay Attention to the Flock" book and didn't see an official process.
This is part of my ongoing research. Anyone have any official WT teaching or documentation on this from before 2010?

I don't believe the WT procedure on how to appoint elders did not significantly change from the Flock book to the Shepherd book.

The Rules are still the same:
How many hours you spend report in service.
How much money you contribute.....esp in green handshakes to the CO.
How popular you are with the other Elders and their families.
