Adam is the ancient Hebrew word for man.
Eve means living one, she was only called this after she sinned, her original name was "Woman, female man"
Dont these names seam to refer in general to mankind, rafer than specific people?
Is the Adam and Eve story , just a descrition of ancient Humans gradually changed to focus on a single couple?
