Joseph F. Alward, POSTED THE FOLLOWING:

I believe there are many on this forum who are not aware of the many online Bibles from which they could almost effortless copy verses to paste into their arguments. When one refers to a particular verse in a particular book, few readers have the patience to go seach through the whole book.
The online source I use is called "Bible Gateway." It provides several different versions of the Bible, and offers word search, which is an indispensible tool for those who take their Bible research seriously.
To add to his recommendations, there are some additional Bibles and Versions available, here: http://xjw-central.com/bibles.html

    Thanks Ray.
I have also found many good sites that have about 15 different versions of Bibles, with side by side comparisons, with footnotes, with Hebrew and Greek Lexicons. Unfortunately, most dubs think the WTs literature is more important than the Bible. Alot of people here have realized that.
    http://bible.crosswalk.com/ is one.

unless, of course, you're into that sort of thing.

    True, AM

BTW, Crosswalk is the same as "Bible Gateway"

Personally, I like "The Unbound Bible" better, because I think it has more relevant resources -- but Gateway/Crosswalk/Gospelcom/Blueletter is the "Unofficial" site for Promise Keepers, so it stays pretty high on my list

Do any online versions include the whole bible - or do they all take out the 'deuterocanonical' text - protestant versions ?

Most are limited to the "Protestant" canon, but I have links to the Douay which I suspect will have the OT Apocrypha

    revdrjohnson,

Posters find anything they want to cut (copy and paste)and paste. I dont think you need proof.

Problem is that most poster (including Joseph A.) in this forum are not interested in what the bible says (as their guiding principles)not even jw posting here. JW are interested only in what the WT says and their own opinion.

Otherwise your suggestion (gateway) would have been unnecesary.

Joseph seem to be interested in discovering and exposing the crap in it.

For those that would like to research the Catholic versions of the bible, there are two versions online, The old Douay-Rheims version, and The New American Bible, from the USCC. Also is the complete Catholic encyclopedia, that the WTS just loves to misquote from. All this and more can be found at http://www.newadvent.org/
