Less time in purgatory if you take the Pope's twitter.

Is there no end to religious twaddle that gulls the gullible into believing all sorts of crap ?

Apparently, so this news story tells us:

    The pope is offering:

Salvation - or at least a shorter stay in Purgatory - might now be only a tweet away with news that Pope Francis is to offer "indulgences" - remissions for temporary punishment - to the faithful who follow him on the social media site.

    web-reference: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/one-hell-of-a-deal-pope-francis-offers-reduced-time-in-purgatory-for-catholics-that-follow-him-on-twitter-8713666.html

But is there any real difference between such nonsense and Freddy F's pronouncements on the imminence of the big A, in the decade leading up to 1975. It all turned out to be nonsense, but they still made him President for the rest of his life.

How interesting that witness after witness to whom I mention 1975 denies it happened! Religion (of all sorts) does terrible thing to the human mind.
