The following five references succinctly explain that Christ's sacrifice exactly matched what was lost by Adam. That's why Christ is described as the "last Adam." (1 Corinthians 15:45)

(1 Timothy 2:5, 6) "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all...

"w00 3/15 p. 4 Why Mankind Needs a HelperThe scales of justice required a perfect man (Jesus Christ) to counterbalance what another perfect man (Adam) had lost.

it-2 p. 736 Ransom - "The entire arrangement manifests Jehovah’s wisdom and his righteousness in perfectly balancing the scales of justice while showing undeserved kindness and forgiving sins."

w14 3/1 p. 4 What God Has Done for You - "by applying the legal principle of "life for life," he has balanced the scales of justice and made everlasting life possible once again for obedient humans."

w54 7/1 p. 401 par. 12 Requirements for the Ministry - "A perfect human life had to be sacrificed to buy back what was lost through Adam’s sin in Eden."

Here's the slight problem: the Org wants us to believe that an elite group of 144,000 (of which they are leading!) are going to become immortal Melchizedek-type kings & priests in heaven!

Adam was never going to produce such a superior and elevated mass of offspring, so doesn't this cause a serious imbalance in the "scales of justice"?

It certainly produces a contradiction in Paul's words to Timothy about Christ's sacrifice being a "corresponding ransom" - and for all, not just for 144,000!!!!! (1 Timothy 2:5,6)

wt's argument is, that once the "anointed" have been covered by the ransom, new covenant, they SACRIFICE that privilege of everlasting life on earth for the higher calling of immortality in Heaven

The problem for wt is how about those that do not sacrifice ? why not? because according to wt doctrine, the OS , not in the New covenant will not have that until the end of the millennium.

    not slight, BIG problem,

Dubs will say that Paul was primarily addressing the 144,000...or ALL in the case of Paul's audience...

I wonder if the dress code in heaven ...is tight pants, skinny ties , oh yeah...and short skirts?

The undeniable fact remains - J.W.'s bungee-reasoning on Christ's ransom blatantly contradicts the scriptural declarations that it was equivalent to, was covering.

144,000 upstarts claiming also to be Melchizedek priest/king types - the same as Christ - comprehensively demeans the unique description applied solely to Christ by the apostle Paul! (Hebrews 5:5-10)
