Did anyone ask him if he remembers the events of 1914?
If he did, then this "generation" has definitely passed away...

Hahahaha! Very funny.
Look carefully at the picture below and answer: How many generations do you see?
Say the first thing that comes to mind.
yeah, sorry, he was NOT of "this generation", because he was not of the "remnant". only they are the generation Jesus was talking about. you are not keeping up with fresh light ? introducing non-wt ideas?
If he did not take the emblems---.
wait a minute:- Spain?-- he probably is Catholic. so:
he took the bread and the wine. no, bread only?
Good for him to have lived , and that long.
living well can not be wrong.
In honor of Jiroemon Kimura who died today at 116 years of age, I think it's appropriate to post an excerpt I recently came across from a featured article of the 1968 Awake! The article is titled, IS IT LATER THAN YOU THINK?. It begins on page 13 and purports to answer the question:
What will the 1970's Bring? - g1968 10/8, p. 13- 14
The fact that fifty-four years of the period called the "last days" have already gone by is highly significant. It means that only a few years, at most, remain before the corrupt system of things dominating the earth is destroyed by God. How can we be so certain of this? - [Emphasis added]
One ways is by noting what Jesus said when he gave his great prophecy about the "last days." After he listed the many events that would mark this period, he also stated, "Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur." -- Matt. 24:34.
Jesus was obviously speaking about those who were old enough to witness with understanding what took place when "the last days" began. Jesus was saying that some of those persons who were alive at the appearance of the 'sign of the last days' would still be alive when God brought this system to its end. - [Emphasis in original]
Even if we presume that youngsters 15 years of age would be perceptive enough to realize the import of what happened in 1914, it would still make the youngest of "this generation" nearly 70 years old today. So the great majority of the generation to which Jesus was referring has already passed away in death. The remaining ones are approaching old age. And remember, Jesus said that the end of this wicked world would come before that generation passed away in death. This, of itself, tells us that the years left before the foretold end comes cannot be many. - [Emphasis in original]
Isn't it amazing! 45 years ago the WTBTS was "so certain" that "only a few years, at most, remain before the corrupt system of things dominating the earth is destroyed by God." The only thing that is "so certain" is that they were so certainly wrong!
If the youngest of "this generation" was nearly 70 years old in 1968 they would be nearly 115 years old today! With the passing of Jiroemon Kimura, there are now only two people still alive on earth at this very moment that are that age! One is 115 and the other is 114, (See: WP: Verified oldest people).
This was one of the articles that led to the whole 1975 debacle. Probably most of us only weren't JWs back then, and maybe some of us never even heard of it, but it's important to take a close look at the history of JWs and the WTBTS to see what they have taught in the past and compare that to what they teach now.
It seems that neither the WT leaders nor the majority of their followers have learned.

Wow. Born in 1897.
He seen a lot of changes in the world.
wonder if he died 'faithful to the end'
He should have taken better care of himself.
Interesting - there are no more prsons left in the world who were "adults" (18+) in 1914.
Remember the progression under the definition of "generation" 3 or 4 iterations back?
First it was "people who were adults in 1914" who made up the "generation that would not pass away"
Then it was "persons who were of an age of understanding" of the events of 1914 - maybe age 10 or above
Then it was any children alive in 1914.
Then it was anyone born in 1914 or earlier.
Then the merry-go-round of what a "generation" means began.
120 years is the best life span for any or all of the myriad body systems we have. Hopefully he had the brain/mind as one of them to take in the whole show.
Like many his age, he probably starved during the war years, and that will allow you to live on.
did he have a sense of humor?
