The Armageddon Watch - REPENT! The End is (more or less) NEAR!

There is so much hype on the internet actually EVERYWHERE about the End of the World and the New World Order. There are...

    Books printed on the subject:

Movies on the subject...although I heard Omega II sucked:

Internet Websites on the subject...I listed some fun ones:

Well, my prediction that the world would end when Drew Barrymore and Tom Greene gave birth to offspring luckily didn't come true! Whew! Quite a relief, that one!

I'm sure glad we don't vote anymore like we did before we got the truth. Now we get to complain about everything ALL the politicians do!

I do believe in the 'end' so to speak. Not like the JWs but like the Bible speaks of. The Bible says not to try and predict it and to not fear it so I am not pre-occupied with it. I know I am right with God and can't wait to be with him but it will come when it comes .

An interesting book series for fiction junkies out there is the Left Behind series. While the people and inner story lines are fictional the events/timeline are accurate to Revelations and other Bible passages on the topic. The Left Behind movie wasn't very good though.
Oh, and Omega Code II did suck and Omega Code I was only mildly OK but nothing special either.

Why, Why, Why are people so consumed with "the end?"

It is incredible that we spend so much time worrying about what will happen in life.

I am sick of it! Between the JW predictions to the other doomsday nuts out there....why bother living? You might as well crash head on and die. Why live?

Oh, I know, because we have to have faith and believe and prove to god we are worthy of going to the next level....oh, I forgot to mention christ. Believe in him dying for our sins. YADA, YADA, YADA!!!

That is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Have any of you heard about:

Rare Planet Alignment in April and May 2002

    http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/solarsystem/planets_align_020402-1.html

"Even now, Jupiter, Mars and Saturn form a nearly straight line in the west each night. By late April, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Saturn will all bunch up in the western sky just after sunset, with bright Jupiter also nearby.

Three of the planets -- Venus, Saturn and Mars -- will crowd into an even smaller patch of sky in early May.

...there will be only three other chances in the coming 100 years to see five planets so tightly grouped, in September 2040, July 2060, and November 2100."

According to some doomsayers this planetary alignment will cause a major pole shift during that time which will cause the destruction of the entire planet...but, quoting Jesus??? LOL
"According to Jesus, the pole shift will happen almost immediately following the desolation of Jerusalem by surrounding armies and the occupation of the "holy place" by these same armies."

So that explains the odd responses I've been getting to my "pole shifters" reference in the personals ads.

SixofNine-So that explains the odd responses I've been getting to my "pole shifters" reference in the personals ads.

Six...next time reference 'shape shifters' and see what (I mean who) turns up. Along this same line, however, it has been noted that some Pole Dancers are shiftingto better causes...
    Women complete pole dancing marathon
Four British women have completed a 24-hour pole dancing marathon to raise money for cancer research. The exotic dancers say they had to battle through the pain barrier after suffering blistering and grazing within two hours.

Toni-Louise, Jade, Storm and Francesca were raising money for the Cancer Research Campaign at the For Your Eyes Only club in Mayfair, London. The women broke a 22-hour 'record' set by a team of Americans, but their efforts will not be officially recognised by the Guinness Book of Records. The women, dressed in skimpy union jack bikinis danced individually in 20-minute bursts.

The club's assistant manager, Helena Sonne, says she is proud of the team as it was a tough record to establish.Storm, 18, explained: "The constant swinging on the pole really took its toll. I suffered huge blisters on my palms and abrasions on my thighs."A spokeswoman for the Cancer Research Campaign told Ananova: "We're used to people doing all kinds of weird, wonderful and whacky things to raise money, but this is the first time we've had pole dancers supporting us."A spokeswoman for the Guinness Book of Records says records do exist for marathon dancing but not specifically for pole dancing.
