Most people think Mt Sinai is in the Sinai Penisula in Egypt, but some suggest their is significant evidance of Mt Sinai being in Saudi Arabia.
Evidence points to the beaches of Nuwayba in Egypt by the Gulf of Aqaba (Red Sea) being the point of the Red Sea crossing.
It is thought King Solomon put a pillar marking this on each side of the crossing.

there are markings of the minorah, and a large cedar tree, and palm trees and twelve wells nearby according to scripture.
