First, let us consider whether that evildoer met the quali ?cations for heavenly life. Humans with heavenly prospects have been baptized in water and with holy spirit and are thus spirit-begotten disciples of Jesus. (John 3:3, 5) Another requirement is that they conform to God’s moral standards and manifest such qualities as honesty, integrity, and compassion. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) They must also remain loyal to God and Christ till the end of their earthly course. (Luke 22:28-30; 2 Timothy 2:12) Only by meeting those requirements can they show themselves worthy of being resurrected and quali?ed for the weighty responsibility awaiting them in heaven, namely, serving as priests and kings with Christ over mankind for a thousand years.—Revelation 20:6.

What a powerful lesson this is: Telling the truth is important! Yes, we all need to learn it! Yet, we all will make mistakes, especially when we are young. Are you not happy that Jehovah loves you and will forgive you even as he did Peter?

    — But remember, we need to tell the truth. And if we ever make the big mistake of lying, we need to ask, yes, beg God to forgive us. That is what Peter must have done, and he was forgiven. If we try hard not to lie any- more, God will forgive us too!

In light of the dishonest presentation of material in WT publications- misquoting; quoting out of context; cherry-picking, etc- can the Governing Body really claim to be honest?

Can they claim integrity when WT history in regard to docrines, false dates and policies has been hidden, dishonestly revised/flip-flopping or abandoned, then making any discussion of these facts a disfellowshipping offense under the label of apostasy ?

Can the Governing Body claim compassion in light of their ramped-up efforts telling Jehovah's Witnesses to shun family members, not even communicating by e-mail? And by further solidifying their hardline policy of disfellowshipping?

Can they claim compassion while still defending their policies regarding pedophilia in the organization while victimizing the victims? Or, by continuing to publish the hateful message, "if you are not a Jehovah's Witness, god will murder you"?

Has the WT or GB EVER apologized to Jehovah's Witnesses for teaching flawed doctrines and false end-time dates, teachings which JWs have based life-changing decisions on, such as going to college, planning for retirement, starting a family or saving their life by certain medical procedures?

Under the guidelines of the above quoted article, can the governing body claim to qualify to rule in Heaven, or even rule anyone on earth now?

    Your thoughts, please....

Evidently, the rules don't apply to the GB...

When you have to start comprimising yourself and your morals for the people around you, it's probably time to change the people around you.

The GB is guilty of all counts! Therefore they only have the authority we give them, and it is time for us to change the people Governing Body around us.

Has anyone noticed how the 'evil slave' scripture has been applied in the past to those who challenged the leadership in the past, for example when Rutherford was challenged and a number of Bible Students left back then, but how in the new revamping of the understanding of FDS the only new light had to do with Matt 24.45-47?

I mean, how about Matt. 24:48-51:

48 “But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ 49 and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, 50 the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, 51 and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites. There is where [his] weeping and the gnashing of [his] teeth will be.

And no explanations on the different slaves in Luke 12:45-48 either:

45 But if ever that slave should say in his heart, ‘My master delays coming,’ and should start to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that slave will come on a day that he is not expecting [him] and in an hour that he does not know, and he will punish him with the greatest severity and assign him a part with the unfaithful ones. 47 Then that slave that understood the will of his master but did not get ready or do in line with his will will be beaten with many strokes. 48 But the one that did not understand and so did things deserving of strokes will be beaten with few. Indeed, everyone to whom much was given, much will be demanded of him; and the one whom people put in charge of much, they will demand more than usual of him.

Hey, ANDDONTCALLME SHIRLEY. Remember I still have a beer waiting for you? You forgot to mention also their defection to the other side by joining the U.N. Lets not also forget about their hidden demonic imagary! Is that being loyal to God and Christ.

alecholmesthedective: An interisting side point, of the two slaves you mention, which of the two slaves have a preconceived notion of time????

Exactly Brother of the Hawk, also whoever they are (LOL) has it also taken them about 93 years to figure they are the evil slaves?
