Amplified Bible is much better than NWT - says the confused Agnostic

I check all references to scripture in the amplified bible now. I really enjoy the way it translates and is written. I am in a strange place where I am not sure about God anymore, but anyways this bible I find to be better. This scripture is a great example of translation.
1 John 1:7 But if we really are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

Sometimes comparing the different wordings of verses will also help get a sense of the meaning. I like this on-line parallel verse site:

I realize that you are in a place where you are not sure about God right now... but you might also consider asking God to send you the Spirit of Truth (Christ), to open your eyes and ears to what you are reading. Then put faith in Him that He will do for you as you ask.
