There will be 1290…err, I mean 1699, err 1334, err 1317 days!

  As we were discussing in the above thread, the Watchtower has yet to demonstrate the basic use of a calendar or arithmetic in regard the 1260 days. They are a month off.

  How about the interpretation of Daniel 12:11?

  Here is the verse: And from the time that the constant [feature]*+ has been removed+ and there has been a placing of the disgusting thing+ that is causing desolation,* there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

  Paul Grundy brings out some interesting facts on this under the heading “1290 days” here: http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/revelation-daniel-prophetic-interpretation.php

  He points out the November 1, 1993 Watchtower, which says, "The League was proposed in January 1919. If we count 1,290 days (three years, seven months) from that time, we arrive at September 1922."

  Do we? NO! If we take January 8th 1918, when Woodrow Wilson proposed the League of Nations, and count forward 1290 days, we get: July 21, 1921! Previous interpretations tried to do some crazy handwaving involving converting solar days to lunar months in order to make 1290=1699. All this to make the endpoint of this prophesy to coincide with a convention held at an amusement park in Ohio.

  BTW...somebody check my math or my facts. In Paul's link above, he mentioned that the difference is 1334 days.

  Evidently the new start date is 1/25/1919...but 1290 days later takes us to 8/7/1922.

  I'm so confused! But apparently, not as confused as the Writing Department.

  you cant because those books from WT Middle-Ages (1920-1975) try to make this apply to them via conversion. Thats like lets turn 9 inches to 9mm and we can make it stretch 9 months. The numbers in Daniel and Revelation are very much affiliated with nations all having a different Year 6000 from a different Adam.The shifts of the whole 6000 are in 1260 or 1290 or 1335 years. For example the Egyptian Flood 3090bc is 30 years before the Japanese Noah 3060bc. So their END is expected 654AD versus 684AD. This effected the war between Moslems and Catholics fighting over Jerusalem. Then you have the fact that Flood to year 6000 in 4344 years is 60 years less if in 360-day, and that is why 1914 is 61 years before 1975. The realities and the math myths are mixed for Bile writers just as they are mixed for us too. YOU have to sort the real form the fake. I have done it and 30 years have now passed since.
