...is still a pretty good trip. But how I wish Steve had been there.
Enjoyed a Journey concert tonight, but sans my favourite male singer of all time - Steve Perry. I rarely go to concerts, so this was a treat in itself. STeve's replacement is good, and he's got a heart-tugging backstory. But he's no Steve. I came home singing "na na na na na na...na na na na na..." and "Don't stop believing...hold on to your dreams". I actually had tears on my cheeks at "softly you whisper...you're so sincere. How could our love be so blind? So now I come to you with open arms...nothing to hide, believe what I say." But how I missed Steve.
For Canadians - Loverboy opened and they came close to outshining Journey. Amazing classic rock band that can still fill a huge stadium with people screaming "turn me loose!"
