Does anyone like Harry Turtledove's alternative history novels? I'm currently reading the Great War series.

I read one of them that was a post WWII scenario with the Axis and Allied powers still in existance and forming a tense accomodation between the Allied, Axis, and 'Lizard'(?) alien race.
I read it a few years ago. (It was a paperback that had a Typhoon fighter and Nazi troops as part of the artwork on the cover.
I thought it was rather interesting but I never pursued the series.

i enjoy books with a war setting, i will look into turtledove. anything recommeded to start with?
if i could recommend a good vietnam book, it would be "flying through midnight". not a hard read. but the style of writing says that the author is the protagonist. he had the education to become a pilot instead of crawling thru the rice pattys as a draftee. he became a pilot over the "ho chi mihn trail" dropping flairs for the troops. great, quick, read.

I read "Guns of the South" and found it mildly entertaining, I've looked at some of the others. Alternate History interests me, but I think his stuff is too dependent on invading aliens and the like.
