A fairy tale:
Picasso sells each of his paintings for a small fortune to avid admirers of his work. However, for years the demand was so great that he had hired a couple students from the local art school to help churn out the required quota of artwork.
All that Picasso did with their efforts, was to give the sub-contract paintings his seal of approval by looking at them and signing them.
When certain customers discerned the implications of this enterprise, they ceased to accept anything which claimed to be his handiwork. Others, having invested so much in 'his' work over the years, refused to critically examine what they had received.
Why, if only the GB is the FDS, is "spiritual food" sub-contracted to earthly-hopers who were not given the responsibility to do so? It muddies the waters of Matthew 24:45-47 quite a bit.
Waking up & smelling coffee springs to mind for some reason!
