It's 9:50 AM and a carload of Ja-Java-Witnesses (Witnesses who spend more time at coffee shops, and feel more pious than low hours ones!)(arrive for coffee , by 10:45 the "Fab-Five" are out the door to tear up the "return visits". Was it my beard, was it my sunglasses, hat and long hair that shielded me from their presense? Yes!

One sister sneaks back into the shop "are you still my brother?", "please come back to meetings, so you can stop the rumors about you." I thanked her for her boldness and concern, if their leader the COBE had seen her talk to me, he would have blasted her! Courage exists out there, acting vicious or attacking their life-long beliefs is not the way to slowly teach them the truth.

    Obama kicked ass!

    "My faith is shipwrecked"

    "Pride and anger"

"Materialism" "Lack of humility" "angry with decessions made by the elders" The list goes on but you get the point. The rumors could be worse, I would expect nothing less of my former loving friends.

"you are my Witnesses say's the local coffee shop" Java-Witnesses! Pubs spending more than ten hours a month in cafes receive the title "Java-Witness" newlight!

"...so you can stop the RUMORS about you"?????

OMG, doesn't she realize that's one of the main reasons people leave? To get away from the backstabbing, slander and hateful gossip??? And because THEY can't keep their mouths shut about you, it's somehow YOUR JOB to "stop" them???

I'll never miss it. Ever! The idea of spending eternity on the same planet with these people---UGHHH!!! TAKE A F###ING HINT, "Sister," how can I be expected to share forever with people like YOU when I can't even tolerate a 2-hour meeting with you?

"are you still my brother..." GOD that pisses me off. 100% loaded language and passive-aggressive guilt tripping. I'm seriously going to puke if I don't stop dwelling on this. I'da looked her dead in the eyes and said, "Apparently, I never WAS your brother. Anyway, I gotta scoot...You enjoy growing old in satan's system with your horrible, horrible friends and no 401K."

Dario, most dubs are scared of the chaos taking place in various Kingdom Halls, the little sister is not immune to a local shake-and-bake.

I feel pity for my little sister, she had good motives but her way of speaking "was not eloquent!". She did share with me that "most of the local congregations are suffering severe persecution from Satan, as different friends are disfelllowshiped, back-biting with "the love of the greater number cooling off" brothers and sisters walking out of Kingdom Halls with no explanation." Myself, I was never sure about my relationship with God, why, I could never measure up to his rules according to men. Think for a moment-

What disfunctional organization would pride itself by keeping their lay-people unsure of their relationship with God and Jesus Christ? I had my

    SERENDIPITOUS MOMENT!

while listening to a born-again preacher driving home, he pushed that Christians need to feel secure in their relationship with God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ, not doubting God's love and desire to save everyone! My hopes are that others realize how valuable they truly are in Jesus Christ eyes, he is not the harsh master we were lead to believe.

True Christians don't place emphasis on mock-service or wasted time with meetings that leave you spiritually empty, drained and exhausted after their over. The Watchtower knows the surest way to make people feel like spiritual zeros, is to continue showing the difference in class distinctions, promise you can be part of the exclusive "in crowd" if you obey your local elders and overseers.

Why was my generation taught "maybe you might be saved if you did enough in Jehovah's service" (using Zeph 2:1-4), we were a religion driven by fear, works and performance. The Apostle Paul describes in details how all the rules of "The Law Covenant" convicted us as sinners, as one preacher said "The Old Testament was a test we failed badly and God knew this! Go provided us with a New Testament everyone would be able pass as long as they have faith and love!" I do see the difference in the WTS, they know without rules and micro-regulations things will fall apart. Why can't they read Romans 7 and get the sense that "obeying rules and regulations of men" are worthless if you are devoid of love and faith in Jesus Christ and charity to your fellow man, more rules only makes"Sin" stronger as Paul says:

    "

    Struggling with Sin

14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don't really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don't do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.

18 And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. [d] I want to do what is right, but I can't. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don't. I don't want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. 20 But if I do what I don't want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.

21 I have discovered this principle of life-that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. 22 I love God's law with all my heart. 23 But there is another power [e] within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. 24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God's law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin."
