Netflix is showing a documentary called "Happy". It's about a new discipline in psychology and nueroscience on happiness. What makes us happy, etc. Good documentary.
The professors who study this stuff had a comment on religion . . . basically religions that give a purpose in life can make a person more happy. But, so can doing for others, charity, etc. However, those in extreme religions (ones that define themselves as absolutely correct and all others our of God's favor) are the most unhappiest people in their studies.
