Everyone has been burned once or twice by a narcissistic nut, so it's good to have a field guide to identify the social, emotional predators before they put their fangs into you!

Some symptoms: Does the person insist on doing everything to the extreme? You go out in field circus for 2 hours, and they want you out all day. He is always pushing "Sac-ri-fice it!" on you. You are to "Sac-ri-fice" all your time, resources, and health. As if to emulate the "perfect and complete sacrifice, to which nothing ever need be added". They are also the ones to bash people for having gadgets (such as the one that has a flashlight or headlamp at all times, or that has the LED light bulbs, or those cool pens). Their goal is to get everyone to give up everything and pious-sneer. Usually, they quote and emulate the Mosaic Law, acting like Jewish Pharisees more than Christian ministers.

Usually, such people seem fine to those who are really strongly into the ministry. However, after a while, they demand so many sacrifices and bash people for having nice things, plus keeping them out in field circus way past a reasonable quitting time, that they irritate those who wish to do a reasonable and prudent amount of time in field circus. They push pious-sneering to the point where doing it for Jehovah is impossible. (You would be doing it for the idiots pushing this instead.) Ultimately, these are the ones that end up becoming hounders and then pushing a double Talmud's worth of rules within that congregation while preventing those within from fleeing to nearby congregations (brazen conduct, anyone?). They are obsessed with theocraptic arrangement, sometimes going way beyond what the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger itself wrote.

I remember having one of those scumbags in my former congregation. He was obsessed with emulating Jehovah himself. I remember seeing him murder a spider simply for "arguing with him"--upon trying to put it out of his car, the spider did what all spiders instinctively do and tried to seek a concealed spot, at which point the idiot murdered it. Hopefully, that stunt (more specifically the attempt to emulate Jehovah, as he was not scared of spiders and this was a harmless one) merits more wrath from Father Satan and a double dose of damnation. Bad enough to obey that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag. But, trying to emulate him is intolerable.
